Salt Spring Silver Coin 1/2oz

Our $$50 half-ounce pure .999 silver coin was hand struck in limited quantities at the now defunct Lasqueti Mint on Lasqueti Island, BC in 2007. The design was provided by internationally acclaimed sculpter Thomas McPhee of Salt Spring Island. The mermaid is the iconic representative of Salt Spring Island, that greets boaters arriving on shore in Ganges Harbour.  It comes in a plastic protective case and is in brilliant uncirculated condition. The coin can also be spent for it’s face value at participating businesses on Salt Spring Island.
